About Values Card Sort

Values Card Sort is an independent, browser-based toolkit for values clarification. It exists to answer one deceptively simple question quickly and honestly: what actually matters to me?

What this site does

The site offers seven free tools that share one dataset of 52 personal values across seven life categories: a classic values card sort ending in a ranked top 10, a fast grid-based values sort, a personal values card sort with a top 5 result, a 24-statement values assessment, printable value cards, a fillable values worksheet, and a complete values list that prints or saves as a PDF.

Every tool runs locally in your browser. There is no account, no sign-up, and no server-side processing of your answers.

How the tools relate

The tools are designed as one workflow with different entry points. The values list and value cards help you gather candidate words. The card sorts and the values assessment force prioritization and ranking. The worksheet turns a ranked result into written reflection and one concrete action. Start wherever matches your mood; the internal links tie everything together.

Principles

• Privacy by architecture. Answers live in your browser's localStorage. Nothing you sort, select, or write is transmitted to a server.
• Honest framing. These tools support self-reflection. They are not clinical instruments and make no diagnostic claims.
• Original content. All value names are common words; all descriptions and articles on this site are original wording written for this project.
• Free access. Every tool is free and unlimited. No paywall, no watermark, no email gate.
