Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains what happens to your data when you use Values Card Sort. The short version: your answers stay in your browser, and nothing you type, sort, or select is transmitted anywhere.

Data we do not collect

The tools on this site operate entirely client-side. There is no user account system, no login, and no database that stores your individual answers. Specifically, the site does not collect:

• your card sort selections, assessment answers, or worksheet texts;
• your ranked results or top values;
• your name, email address, or any identifier;
• any personal profile derived from your usage.

localStorage

To preserve your progress, the tools write state to your browser's localStorage under keys prefixed with values-card-sort:. This includes sort progress, assessment answers, worksheet text, and value card selections. localStorage is stored on your device, is not accessible to other websites, and is never transmitted by this site. Clearing your browser data for this site removes everything the tools have saved.

Server logs and hosting

Like any website, the hosting infrastructure may process standard technical request data (such as IP address, request time, and user agent) to serve pages and for security purposes. This data is not used to profile you, and no analytics provider is embedded at the time of writing. If that changes, this policy will be updated first.

Children

The tools are general-audience self-reflection exercises and do not address children under 13 specifically. No data is collected from any visitor, regardless of age.

Changes to this policy

Substantive changes will be published on this page with an updated date. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
